..as no fewer than 5 aides reportedly gunned down
The member representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah on Sunday evening escaped being killed by heavily armed men at Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.
However, five of his aides including policemen were reportedly killed in the attack described by eyewitnesses as assassination attempt on the Senator who represents his constituency on the platform of the Young Peoples Party ( PRP).
Reports from the scene of the attack further indicated that the Senator’s convoy was ambushed by the gunmen who opened fire on the convoy killing the aides while the Senator escaped with injuries.
