Angry mob on Thursday burnt three suspected armed robbers to death at Nkpor junction in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Current matters gathered that a similar mob action was meted out to a man in his mid-20s at Obosi also in Idemili North Council area by youths of the community for alleged stealing.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochi, who confirmed the incident to reporters said that the incident happened when the three suspected robbers diispossed their victims of their personal belongings.
“The robbery incident took place at about 11:45am today at Nkpor roundabout by Ogidi.
“The robbers accosted their victims and dispossess them of their personal belongings.
“During a hot chase by the angry mob, three members of the gang were lynched and set ablaze by angry mob.”
Tochi said that the Police have worked so hard to ensure that normalcy is restored in the area.
