The Department of State Services DSS has Secured another Death Penalty on one Ibrahim Umar also known as Dan Iyali,a suspect Involved In kidnap and killing of three Persons In Sokoto state in September 2023.
Usman, alongside other suspects who are at large faced a four-count charge before the High Court of Justice of Sokoto state, Sokoto Judicial Division, The charges bordered on criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, culpable homicide punishable with death, and voluntarily causing grievous hurt without provocation.
In June 2026, the DSS secured death penalty on three suspects including a foreigner for terrorism and arms proliferation. The convicts, Yusuf Muhammad alias Salau,a Nigerien,,Jabi Alhaji Yalle and Kabiru Muhammad were arrested on June 13 2025 in connection with cross border criminal activities including terrorism and arms trafficking.
