
A staff of the World Health Organization ( WHO) working in Benue State, Dr Samuel Tagher Nyitor has died of Lassa Fever.
The Commissioner for Health and Human Resources in the state, Dr Joseph Ngbea confirmed to newsmen in Makurdi on Monday that the deceased was referred to Irrua Specialist Hospital in Edo State but could not make it as he died on the way.
The Nigerian Center for Disease Control ( NCDC) had during its routine situation report in Abuja, disclosed that 102 persons have so far died from Lassa Fever since the disease broke out again in some states between the end of 2021 and now.
