The Peoples Democratic Party PDP on Friday prayed an Abuja High Court Presided by Justice Inyang Ekwo to sack the Governor of Zamfara State,Bello Matawalle,Three Senators and other lawmakers who defected from the party to the All Progressives Congress APC.
The Party joined the lawmakers in a motion of joinder by its counsel,O J Onoja (SAN), dated and filed on September 30 ,2021.
The party is asking the court to sack Matawalle, the three Senators,six House of Representatives members and all members of the State House of Assembly who defected along with the governor to the APC..
Following Matawalle’s defection to the APC on June 29, the PDP filed a suit against the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, the Senate President,Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Chief Justice of the state.
