Reports reaching current matters indicate that the 317 girls abducted from Governmentt Girls Secondary School Jangebe in Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State have been released.
Details of their release though still very sketchy. a source said the girls were released by the bandits Sunday afternoon but are yet to arrive Gusau, the state capital.
Two aerial helicopters were on ground Saturday to carry out surveillance on the forest area where the victims were reportedly held.
On Friday, the Zamfara State Police Command confirmed the abduction of 317 girls from the Government Secondary School Jangebe in Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of the state.
The abductors were said to have stormed the school in their hundreds, shot sporadically and took away the girls at about 2.a.m .
