Plateau Gov, Lalong test positive for coronavirus
Plateau state governor,Simon Lalong has tested positive for coronavirus.
Lalong has by his positive status, joined league of governors who tested positive for the deadly virus.
In a statement on Thursday, the Director of Press and Publicity to the governor, Dr Makut Mancham said the governor’s positive status was discovered after a test on covid he took along with members of his family.
According to the statement, the governor is asymptomatic and has gone into isolation,but his family members tested negative while samples of his close aides have also been collected for testing.
The statement said the governor will henceforth work from home during the period of treatment, and all state matters requiring his physical presence will be handled by the Deputy Governor
