The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Abdulaziz Garba Gafasa, and the Majority leader, Kabiru Hassan Dashi have resigned.
Although the reasons for their decision are sketchy at the moment,their resignation letters were reportedly received at 1.08 am on Tuesday by the Kano Assembly.
According to reports,a new Speaker and Majority leader would emerge during plenary later today.
