Kano State House of Assembly on Tuesday, elected a new speaker,He is Hamisu Chidari representing Makoda constituency.
His emergence at plenary followed the resignation of former Speaker, Abdulaziz Gafasa early Tuesday.
Chidari was nominated by Nuhu Achika and seconded by Sanusi Usman Bataiya.
The House also elected Zubairu Hamza ,member representing Sumailia constituency as new Deputy Speaker,. while the member representing Warawa constituency, Labaran Abdul Madari and Abdullahi Iliyasu Yar Yasa ,were elected Majority leader and Deputy Majority leader respectively.
