The Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) , to deregister the All Progressives Congress ( APC) following the party’s dissolution of its structures nation-wide.
The PDP has also called on INEC to recall the certificate of registration of the APC since it no longer has operational structures as required by law.
PDP’S National Publicity Secretary,Kola Olgbondiyan, in a statement said” INEC should immediately declare the seats of all lawmakers elected on the platform of the APC at all levels and commence the process of byelection to fill the seats as required by law”
The ruling All Progressives Congress APC had in its NEC meeting on Tuesday at the presidential villa, dissolved all operational organs from the unit to ward, local government,state, zonal levels while extending the Buni led National Caretaker Committee for another six months.
