The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ebonyi State has suspended all 3 Senators and 6 House of Representatives members from Ebonyi State over anti-party activities.
The Chairman of the party Onyekachi Nwebonyi has asked the suspended lawmakers to appear before the party’s disciplinary commitee over the allegations.
The suspension comes two days after the lawmakers vowed to remain in the party despite the defection of the state governor,Dave Umahi to the ruling All Progressives Congress (.

The three Senators from the state affected are a former governor of the state,Dr Sam Egwu,Obinna Ogba and Michael Ama Nachi
The suspended members of the House of Representatives from the state are Livinus Makwe,Victor Aleke, Sylvester Ogbaga,Chukwuma Nwanzunku, Chris Usulor and Idu Igariwey
On Thursday, the National Executive Council of the PDP announced that its strength in Ebony State and the South East remained unshaken.
PDP’s National Chairman,Uche Secondus had in reaction to the defection of Umahi said it took necessary steps to protect and guard its strength in the state and the region.
But with the suspension of the federal lawmakers by the state council, it is unclear what future awaits the two major political parties in Ebonyi State
