Tinubu speaks at last, disproves claims of running away
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC,)Bola Ahmed Tinubu, says he is very much around contrary to reports that the estranged leader of the APC had run to France after the#EndSARS violence turned violent and allegations that he was behind the recent disorder in the country.
In an interview on television (Arise TV), Tinubu said he had no reason to run away because Lagos is his home and he is still in charge.
The politician said “Iam a Lagosian .I still hold the title of Asiwaju of Lagos and Iam still the JAGABAN.”
The APC leader also on Saturday, made appearance at the Lagos State Government House to commiserate with Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu over destruction of lives and properties in the state.
However a concerned Nigerian ,a Lagosian who simply says he is Chris reacted to reports by the APC leader of not running away.
He said” Iam not fooled, The man simply returned.He was missing for about 5 days.Now that the place is gradually returning to normal,he returns and attempts to shake away the coward tag. Even if he did not travel out, he certainly went underground or does it mean no journalists tried to interview him even after TVC, Oriental, etc were touched? After Lagos governors family house was touched, he didn’t bother to visit, even if symbolically?Abeg, second base jare”
Speculations were rife that Tinubu had flown to France using his private jet and immediately jetted out of that country after being booed by protesters.
Violent protesters had razed a hotel (Oriental) purportedly owned by the Lagos politician and vandalised other properties owned by the businesman including a National Newspaper house”The Nation and TVC..
Protesters also destroyed properties owned by associates of the JAGABAN including the family home of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu and the Palace of the Oba of Lagos,
