Ondo Election:IGP Adamu, bars security aides from escorting VIPs on election day 

The Inspector General of Police (IGP),Mohammed Adamu, has ordered security aides not to accompany VIPs or political appointees on the day of Ondo election

He warned that severe punishment will be meted out to anyone who violated the other.

The IGP’s order is contained in a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer,Frank Mba who noted that men of the force as well as personnel of other security agencies deployed for the election have also been charged to conduct themselves professionally.

The IGP has also deployed the DIG in charge of Research and Planning Adeleye Oyebode to administer the general security arrangements for the election in the state.the statement further said.
