The Independent Corrupt practices and Other Related Offences Commission,I (CPC) has arrested two directors of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC for alleged fraud.
The directors are the one in charge of Education, Health and Social Services and the other, responsible for special projects at the commission.
ICPC Spokesperson,Azuka Ogugua who confirmed the development said the directors were arrested for alleged abuse of office ,one of which was the mishandling of the commission’s scholarship programmes.
The directors who were arrested on Monday were released on administrative bail on Thursday.
The NDDC management is being accused of alleged financial recklessness ,, a development that prompted a public hearing at the National Assembly.. The report of the Investigation submitted to the Presidency is yet to receive any expression of approval.
Forensic auditors have also been appointed by President Buhari to investigate allegations of fraud and analyse their findings for legal proceedings.
