A female cashier in a popular supermarket in Lagos has been arrested and charged after she was allegedly caught on camera stealing and hiding money she made from sales in her private part.
Chioma Ezeiru 23, was working for Temple Hill Supermarket located at Olusegun street in Okota area of Lagos when the incident happened.
Current matters gathered that money was always missing after sales going by the audit report of the supermarket thus prompting the management to investigate the theft. Accordingly, the management reviewed the CCTV and discovered that the Chioma has been stealing and hiding money in her private part.
Following the discovery, the management invited her to view herself stealing on Camera.She then confessed to the crime but said she only stole N290,000
The management however, handed her over to the police . She was interrogated and having found her culpable,she was charged before the Isolo Magistrate Court.
The Presiding Magistrate,Mrs A O Akokhia granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum .
However,she was remanded in custody pending when she will meet her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned to 23rd August for mention.
