
A woman, name withheld, reportedly burnt her 3 year old stepdaughter with a lighter for not going to church as she directed.
Parts of the child”s body burnt included the ear and lip .
The incident which occurred on Monday,at Abiriba Quaters,Afam Road in Oyigbo, Rivers State was said to have drawn a large gathering of neighbours who rescued the child
According to reports, the father of the little girl who is a KeKe (Tricycle) driver was immediately informed by neighbours and eyewitnesses say it was a tensed situation when he saw what happened to his little girl.
However some of the neighbours who observed the attitude of the woman said it was not unlikely that she was possessed by evil spirit to resort to such act of wickedness..
