President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Abdulmumin Jibrin, former member of the House of Representatives,as the the New Executive Director of the Federal Housing Authority,.
He is to oversee Business Development in Commercial, Corporate and Social Housing.
The former federal lawmaker who represented Kano State was a ranking member and was instrumental to the emergence of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamala.
His stay at the green Chamber in the 9th Assembly was very brief as he was sacked by the tribunal and a rerun of the election was ordered
Jibrin lost the election to the candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic party PDP because his state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.decided to have his pound of flesh from him( Jibrin) for having the audacity to oppose his re-election as governor of Kano State.
Jibrin”s refusal was premised on the viral video of the goveror allegedly taken bribe from a contractor .
His appointment by the President is seen as a welcome development by his former colleagues and friends .
