The Independent National Electoral Commission has cleared 14 candidates for participation in the forth coming gubernatorial election in Edo State.
Among those cleared are the incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic party PDP and his top Challenger,Ize Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress APC.
INEC National Commissioner in charge of Information and Voter Education,Festus Okoye made the announcement in a statement on Saturday.
Okoye said that INEC has displayed the final list of candidates at its Offices in Benin City, the Edo capital and the 18 Local government Areas of the state.
He said that the list has also been uploaded to the INEC websites for viewing.
