Federal Government bans purchase of official vehicles, exempts ambulances and firefighters 

The Federal Government has banned the purchase of official vehicles and other non essential items to reduce cost of governance.

Items exempted include Ambulances, and firefighting vehicles .

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina in a document titled ‘What you need to know about the Nigerian Economic Sustainability Plan’, outlined 8 key areas of the economic plan which among others seeks to expand the Social Investment Programme. (SlPS)

The Economic Sustainability Plan was set up by President Buhari and headed by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
