Former Military General, Joshua Nimyel Dogonyaro has passed on.
Dogonyaro was a former Field Commander of Economic Community of West African States Monitoring Group ( ECOMOG) and former Chief of Defence Staff during the administration of General Sani Abacha.
He was said to have died on Jos on Thursday morning at age 80.
Dogonyaro would be remembered for his role in announcing the coup that ousted Muhammadu Buhari as Head of State on August 27,1985.
