
The Ongoing Magistrates’ protest in Cross Rivers State entered the second day on Tuesday, with near fatality as one Magistrate, Richard Bassey slumped at the gate of the governors office.
Bassey was immediately revived by his colleagues and taken to a hospital.
The magistrates are protesting over unpaid 24 months salaries by the Cross Rivers State Government with the office of the state governor, Professor Ben Ayade not doing anything to address their demand
A spokesman of the group of the protesting magistrates, Solomon Abuo said they have been tossed around for the past two years with no relief in sight adding they will continue the protest until they are paid their wages.
