The Federal Government has opened discussion with the Peoples Republic of China over access to its vaccines for the country.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama told reporters on Tuesday after a bilateral meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister,Wang Yi.who is on a working visit to Nigeria and other countries in Africa
Onyeama commended China for the quick support given to Nigeria in the wake of Covid-19 in the area of Personal Protective Equipment
According to him,China was one of the countries that had been able to discover vaccines for Covid-19 adding”We are engaging with China to help with regards to access to vaccines for our people.”
