Nigerians took to Social media shortly after the match between the Super Eagles and Tanzania ended 2-1 in favour of the Nigerian team to blast a cleric, Primate Ayodele for releasing what they called “fake prophecy” against player, Ademola Lookman.
Lookman,a winger scored the decisive goal that gave the Super Eagles victory over Tanzania on Monday, December 23,2025.
Ayodele had before the match, released a prophecy on social media that Lookman should not be fielded to play as he would not help in securing a win over Tanzania.
However, Coach, Eric Chelle ignored Ayodele and listed Lookman in the group C opening match in Fes. Lookman on his part also defied the prophecy by scoring the thriller goal that decided the match.
Ayodele’s prophecy failed and Nigerians have asked him to limit himself to the pulpit instead of spreading fake prophecies as Football is played with brains and legs not prophecy.
