
The Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority,Engr.Fsrouk Ahmed has resigned from office.
His resignation comes just less than 2 days after the President and Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Industries, Alhaji Aliko Dangote petitioned the ICPC alleging that Ahmed lived beyond his income.
Dangote further released how Armed allegedly enrolled him four children in secondary schools in foreign countries and paid over $5m to cover tuition and other expenses.
Ahmed in his response denied the allegations but hours later tendered his resignation.
Gbenga Komolafe of the Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission,NUPRC has also resigned
The announcement was made by Presidential Spokesman,Bayo Onanuga in a statement on Wednesday.
According to him, President Bola Tinubu has nominated their replacement.
Onanuga said that the president has written to the Senate ” requesting expedite confirmation of the two nominees – Origsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyisan as CEO NPRC and
Engr Saidu Mohammed as CEO NMDPRA
” The two nominees are seasoned professionals in oil and gas Industry ” the statement added
