President Bola Tinubu has conferred National honours of the Order of the Niger ( OON), the second highest national award to the Super Falcons players who recently secured 10th WAFCON victory in Rabat, Morocco.
In addition to the national honours, the president also announced a three – bedroom flat to each of the players and the technical crew and Naira cash equivalent of$100,000 to all 24 players and $50,000 to the technical crew.
Tinubu, who made the announcement while receiving the victorious team at the presidential villa on Monday evening, thanked members of the team for their commitment, and resilience which made the victory possible.
Before the Presidential announcement was the presentation of the trophy to the president by the captain of the team,Rasheedat Ajibade and goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie .
