The Abuja-Kaduna Highway has once again become the preserve of criminal gangs as incessant cases of Kidnapping and killing appear to go on unhindered.
Scores of bandits on Wednesday blocked the highway from both sides and unleashed mayhem on innocent travellers.
It was learnt that the armed men opened fire on the vehicles in motion and blocked the road to stop movement to and from Abuja.
Some of the travellers managed to escape with varying degrees of injuries.A staff of the Nigerian Television Authority NTA,Abuja, Abdullahi Aminu ,was among the victims that escaped with gunshots injuries.
Aminu, according to the Kaduna State Council of the Nigeia Union of Journalists NUJ, was travelling to Kaduna on the fateful day and narrowly escaped from the Kidnappers with several bullet injuries. He is currently receiving treatment at 44 Army reference hospital, Kaduna
