United States Senator from South Carolina,Lindsey Graham has passed away. He was 71years old
According to a spokesperson for his office, Graham died ” from a brief and sudden illness” . although reports later suggest he died of cardiac arrest.
Graham,a staunch ally of President Donald Trump,served in the senate for over two decades.He was the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and that of Budget and was said to be a “leading voice for the unwavering US support for Israel and Ukraine” as well as President Trump’s Agenda.
Reports further indicate that Graham died shortly after returning from a visit to Ukraine
He was first elected to the US Senate in 2002, and was running for a fifth term when his death occurred.
Reacting to news of Graham’s death,Trump paid tribute to him in post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday.
Senate Lindsey Graham one of the greatest people ever Senators I have ever known,is dead. He was always working, and was a true American Patriot. Lindsey will be greatly missed ” Trump wrote.
