The Nigeria Police Force, Zone 7 Headquarters in Abuja, has commenced a medical outreach programme as part of activities marking the 2026 National Police Day celebration.
The initiative follows the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, and aligns with this year’s theme, “Community Partnership: Building Trust.”
The outreach, currently underway at the Zone 7 Headquarters, is designed to provide free healthcare services to police personnel, their families, and residents of surrounding communities, with a special focus on vulnerable groups.
Services offered during the programme include general medical consultations, distribution of prescribed medications, blood pressure checks, and health awareness sessions aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles.

Speaking on the exercise, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 7, Victor Olaiya, said the initiative highlights the Force’s commitment not only to safeguarding lives and property but also to enhancing the well-being of citizens.
He also urged members of the public to take advantage of the outreach and other activities lined up for the celebration, reiterating its resolve to strengthen community relations in the fight against crime.
The 2026 National Police Day celebration will culminate in a grand finale at Eagle Square on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
