On the occasion of 2026, International Women’s Day, Miss Fugar Queen, Hannah Itsenegbemhe, has joined millions around the globe to salute our women for their love, resilience, courageous spirit, and immeasurable contributions towards the development of families and Communities.
She noted that the theme for this celebration “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls”, is a call to dismantle the existing barriers to equal rights and justice.
“To me, I consider Rights, not as favour but as birthright. Every woman and girl in our society deserves dignity, equality and opportunity”, Miss Fugar Queen stated.
“As Miss Fugar Queen, I will play my role in ensuring that the chains of discrimination and silence against women’s voices become a thing of the past which can only exist as memories. To this end, I will soon be calling on Fugarians and Friends to support my pet project on training and equipping our Girls and Women with Vocational skills and basic Hygiene practices.
“We must take that bold step that can shape our tomorrow for self reliance and high productivity”, She assured.
Queen Hannah stated that as mothers, sisters, colleagues, mentors, and friends, they carry great responsibilities while still giving their best to families, communities, and Edo State. Please know that your contributions to the welfare and development of Fugar especially will never go unnoticed.

“You are not just mothers you are role models, pillars of strength, and true heroines whose lives continue to inspire generations.
“May you live long in good health to enjoy the beautiful fruits of your labour. May your sacrifices be rewarded and your legacy of service continues to inspire many more”, Queen Hannah concluded.
