NSCDC Commandant General Retires, Tinubu Set to Name Replacement

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, is set to scheduled to bow out of the service Friday, 27th February, 2026 having reached the retirement age.

Current matters understands that President Bola Tinubu may announce his replacement immediately.

The pull out parade of the outgoing Commandant General comes as the Corps marks the official Grand finale of the World Civil Defence Day celebration on Friday.

Audi was appointed NSCDC Commandant General by the late President Muhammadu Buhari in February 2021.

He was born on September 30, 1967, in Laminga, Nasarawa state and holds a PhD in Public Administration from Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) and a Master’s in Public Business Administration from University of Calabar (UNICAL).
