President Bola Tinubu has named AIG Tunji Disu as the New Inspector General Of Police following the resignation of Kayode Egbetokun on Monday.
Until his appointment,Disu was the Head of the NPF Intelligence Response Team
The 59 -year – old was once the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Egbetokun was appointed by President Tinubu on 19th June 2023.. He was reportedly asked to step aside during a meeting with the president on Monday evening. His resignation was announced by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy .
