
The Magistrate court in Sagamu, Ogun state, has granted bail to Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the driver of the crashed Lexus sports utility vehicle (SUV) involving Anthony Joshua, the former world heavyweight boxing champion and two others.
Kayode was charged on Friday by the police on a four-court charge bordering on dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, driving without due care and attention, and driving without a valid national driver’s licence.
Joshua and his friends,Sina Ghami, and Latif Ayodele were travelling in a Lexus SUV jeep on Monday, December 29,2025 when the vehicle collided with a stationery truck along the Lagos- Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.
Ghami and Ayodele both members of the British boxer’s training team were fatally hit and their bodies returned to their homes while Joshua was hospitalised for a few days and discharged
