In further demonstration of the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to reward dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., has approved the promotion of senior police officers across the Zone, Federal Capital Territory, and Niger State Police Commands.
In line with this development, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja, AIG Victor Olaiya, psc(+), alongside members of the Zonal Management Team, on Wednesday decorated the newly promoted senior officers during a brief but colourful ceremony held at the Conference Room of the Zonal Headquarters.

Officers decorated include two (2) Deputy Commissioners of Police and one (1) Assistant Commissioner of Police, among others.
The Zonal Spokesperson, ASP Mohammed Halima, said the elevation of these officers reflects the vision of the Inspector-General of Police to strengthen the leadership structure of the Force while boosting morale and enhancing operational effectiveness.

While delivering his remarks, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions and reminded them that higher ranks come with greater responsibilities.
He charged them to remain professional, disciplined, proactive, and committed to the ideals of the Nigeria Police Force in the discharge of their duties.
The ceremony was witnessed by members of the Zonal Management Team, family members, and well-wishers, who gathered to celebrate with the newly promoted officers.
