
Nigeria’s Senior Women’s Football team, The Super Falcons on Saturday defeated their host, the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco by 3 goals to 2 in a match that showcased brilliant teamwork especially in the second half at the Olympic stadium, Rabat.
Morocco led the Super Falcons by 2 goals to none in the first half but in a twist, the Nigerian team came around in the second half and scored through Esther Okoronkwo. Minutes later, Folashade Ijamiluisi put in the second goal while Jennifer Echegini scored the winning goal through a brilliant pass by Esther Okoronkwo
The Super Falcons were unbeaten throughout the tournament and by the Final outcome are 10th winners of the tournament
