The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday ordered Mrs Favour Kanu, Sister – in – law to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra,IPOB.
Justice James Omotoso gave the order after discovering that, Favour recorded the court proceedings and shared them on her social media platform.
The judge ordered her to leave the court room and barred her from attending the next three sessions of the court.
But before proceeding with the order banning Mrs Kanu,Justice Omotoso questioned her action and said he would have charged her for contempt but refrained due to appeals made on her behalf by prominent counsels..
Nnamdi Kanu is standing trial following terrorism and treasonable felony charges
He was first arrested by the DSS in his hotel room in Lagos on October 14,2015.Afterwards, he jumped bail and made his whereabouts unknown.
He was however located in Kenya in June 2021and brought back to the country to face trial for terrorism ” the then Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Abubakar Malami said in a press conference.
