Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, by N65.00, from N890 to N825 per litre.
The company in a statement on Wednesday evening said the new price takes effect on February 27.
The statement said the strategic price adjustment was designed to provide essential relief to Nigerians in anticipation of the upcoming Ramadan season, while also supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery policy by alleviating the financial burden on the Nigerian populace.
It is the second time in the month that the company will announce price reduction of the price of PMS.
Earlier, in the month, there was a previous reduction of N60.00
Dangote had also In December 2024, during the yuletide period reduced the price of PMS by N70.50, from N970 to N899.50 per litre, as part of its commitment to providing relief to Nigerians during the holiday season.
