The Amegu Nkalaha Community in the Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State,came under the attack of suspected herdsmen on Sunday who killed an unspecified number of people and razed numerous houses.
Confirming the incident to newsmen,Ebonyi State Police Command spokesperson, SP Joshua Ukandu, said” an attack occurred” and that the police immediately deployed operatives to the area.
Ukandu noted that the number of casualties is still being investigated.
The attack reportedly by the Fulani herdsman is believed to be a reprisal for the killing of “their cows” by members of the Eastern Security Network, current matters gathered.
