The federal government has condemned the killing of farmers in Marte Local Government Area of Borno State.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari who disclosed the in a statement describes the attack on farming communities as disturbing and uncalled for
Kyari said the incident undermines efforts to keep farming communities productive and safe.
The Minister urged security agencies to intensify operations, bring those responsible to justice, and locate the missing persons.
He stressed that protecting farmers is essential to protecting Nigeria’s food supply.
