President Bola Tinubu has signed the Student Loans Re-enactment Bill into law.
The event which took place at the State House in Abuja was witnessed by the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio; Deputy Senate President, Senator Jibril Barau; Ministers, and key stakeholders in the nation’s education sector.
President Tinubu on June 12,2023 signed the Access to Higher Education Act 2023 into law to enable students from poor homes to access interest free loans in pursuit of their Educational programmes.
.The new Act which replaced the previous one establishes the Nigerian Education Loan Fund as a corporate body tasked with receiving, managing and investing funds to provide loans to Nigerians pursuing higher education, vocational training and skills acquisition programs.
