The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC insists it has yet to receive the certified copy of the judgement ordering the sack of the Governor of Ebonyi State, David Nweze Umahi and his Deputy, Kelechi Igwe.
INEC National Commissioner for Information and voter Education, Festus Okoye made this known in an interview with Channels on Thursday.
Okoye however, said that the commission has received a letter from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP nominating replacement of the governor and his deputy.
Moments after Justice Inyang Ekwo of an Abuja High Court delivered judgement ordering the sack and replacement of Gov Umahi and his Deputy, the PDP went behind closed doors and picked Iduma Igariwe and Fred Udogwu as successors to the ousted governor and deputy respectively.
