The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arrested a popular cross – dresser, Idris Olarewaju AKA Bobrisky in Lagos.
Bobrisky was arrested on Wednesday evening for alleged economic crime
His arrest comes shortly after calls by media influencer popularly called VeryDarkMan asked law enforcement agencies to arrest him over an award confered on him as best dressed female in a recent event.
But the police made it clear that there is no law criminalising cross – dressing in Nigeria.
Police spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi who made this known on Tuesday while speaking on ChannelsTV said that it is difficult to draw a relationship between cross- dressing and same sex relationships as alleged in some quarters.
