
The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declared Hope Uzodinma as winner of the November 11 Governorship election in Imo state.
Announcing the final results of the election at the State collation centre in Owerri, the Imo state capital, INEC said that Hope Uzodinma polled a total of 540308 votes to defeat his closest rival, Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP who polled 71,503 and Athan Achonu of the Labour party who got 64,081 votes.
