The Oyo State High Court in Ibadan on Friday authenticated the convention organized by the Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP in Ibadan in 2025. confirming the Kabiru Turaki led executive as lawfully.elected.
Issuing the ruling in a case brought forward by Folahan Malomo Adelabi, Justice Ladiran Akintola stated that the convention adhered to Nigeria’s electoral guidelines and met the standards set by the 1999 Constitution and the Electoral Act of 2022.
The court approved all thirteen demands made by the claimant, ruling that the convention held by the party was executed properly.
The judge noted that the legal measures taken to arrange the convention were valid, explaining that the party acted within legal parameters during the gathering.
During the proceedings, attorneys weighed in, with Musibau Adetunmbi representing the claimant. The court denied requests to delay the judgment and also dismissed motions to include additional parties in the lawsuit.
The judge had turned down a motion to add new parties to the case, stating that the request lacked sufficient legal basis. This ruling ultimately resolved the conflict regarding the convention.
