Banditry: Niger residents allegedly stop lorries carrying foods from entering state 

For fear of escalation of kidnapping , some residents of Niger state allegedly stopped lorries carrying foods from entering the state.

The trucks carrying tomatoes,peppers,yams and vegetables were asked to go back to the north where they were coming from.

Some parts of Niger state have of recent become a den of Kidnappers, robbers and killers.

Just a few weeks ago, gunmen identified as bandits stormed a Government Science College Kagara in Rafi local government area of the state and abducted 41 persons including 27 students.

Gunmen also abducted some travellers who were released after one week in captivity.
