
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano state has directed all the 19 Commissioner nominees to comply with the code of conduct rules.
The nominees are expected to declare assets before their screening at the state assembly.
The governor said that no commissioner nominee will be sworn in as a cabinet member without complying with the rules of the Code of Conduct Bureau.
He added “All other political appointees under this administration shall also comply with the directive accordingly,” he said.
According to the governor, transparency and accountability remain the basic principles of his administration pointing out that this will be applied to champion good governance in the state.
