NFF sacks Gernot Rohr as Super Eagles technical adviser, appoints Equavoen Interim Technical Adviser
The Nigeria Football Federation has terminated the appointment of Gernot Rohr as technical adviser of the Super Eagles National Football Team.
The decision which came after a virtual meeting of the federation on Sunday also saw the appointment of the Technical Director, Augustine Equavoen as Interim Technical Adviser .
Equavoen will work with Salisu Yusuf ( Chief Coach), Paul Aigbogun ( Assistant Coach), Joseph Yobo ( Assistant Coach) Dr Terry Eguaoje ( Assistant Coach) and Alloysius Agu as Goal keeper Trainer while Augustine Jay Jay Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo and Garba Lawal have been appointed to provide technical and ambassadorial support for the crew.
In a statement on Sunday, the General Secretary of the NFF,Dr Mohammed Sanusi said’ The relationship between the Nigerian Football Federation and Mr Rohr has come to an end. We thank him for his services to the Super Eagles and Nigeria.
” We also want to thank the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports for their collaboration and guidance all through”.
