The Nigerian Air force has rescued seven Nationals of the Peoples Republic of China in Kaduna
The men were believed to have been kidnapped by terrorists in June while working at a mine site in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
In a statement, the Director of Public Relations and Information,Air Commodore Edward Bakwet said the special forces under the 271 Nigerian Air force attachment in Birnin Gwari carried out the rescue operation in the early hours of Saturday
According to him, the search and rescue operation consists of 35 special forces was conducted in the cover of the night at Kafani Doka Gashua areas leading to the terrorists abandoning their weapons and the Chinese victims.
The victims were later flown to the 271 NAF attachment medical center for evaluation after which they were taken to the NAF base Hospital, Kaduna for further medical investigations.
