The Supreme Court on Friday affirmed the candidacy of Oborevwori Sheriff, ( PDP) Speaker of Delta State Assembly for the 2023 governorship election in Delta State..
The Apex Court dismissed the appeal by David Edevbie for lacking in merit.
Oborevwori, the anointed candidate of Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa, has been in a protracted legal tissue with David Edevbie, the candidate of James Ibori,a former governor of the state.
Delivering the judgement,Justice Tijani Abubakar, , said the appeal by Edevbie was dismissed for lacking in merit.
The Court of Appeal on August 29, also given judgement in favour of Oborevwori .
