Speaker of the House of Representatives,Rt Hon. Femi Gbajiabiamila has urged the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike not to relent in suffocating his opponents for their evil devices until he gets to where he is going.
Gbajiabiamila stated this while commissioning the State Assembly Quarters on Friday.
The Speaker said that it was ironical that those behind the governor’s travail were the same people who denied him the opportunity to be elected speaker before now.
He said that Governor Wike and himself have proved that despite party differences, members can cooperate to foster the enhancement of policies.He urged members of the State Assembly who are beneficiaries of the quarters to provide quality service to their constituents.
Earlier, the governor had said that he invited the Speaker to commission the project to enable him have a good knowledge of what the funds he helped the state to secure is used for.
Wike acknowledged the assistance the Speaker gave him when attempts were made to block funds meant for the state saying he was not someone who forgets help rendered to him.
