Reports from Obi Wali, Center, venue of the Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship primaries suggest that the immediate past Accountant General of the state,Mr Fubara Siminialayi is leading in the election conducted to choose a standard bearer for the party ahead of 2023. General Election.
Siminialayi leads ,former Advise to Governor Nyesom Wike on Special Projects, George Kelly and Isaac Kamalu, former Commissioner for Finance.
No fewer than nine hundred adhoc delegates are voting in the election said to be peaceful and orderly.
